I’m honored to share my feature length documentary, Into the Canyon, followed by my short Monumental Moment to a sellout audience tonight for @sundance_nature_alliance at the historic Sundance resort.
I’m honored to attend and do a book signing for my new book Witness to Water afterwards.
“Into the Canyon” chronicles my thirsty, prickly 750-mile trek, tip to tail, through Grand Canyon with my friend @kevinfedarkoauthor.
The film just ended its run on Disney Plus but we will make it and “Monumental Moment”, about @mayalyttle and native voices standing up for water, available soon.
Thanks to the nature alliance for hosting such events and educating the next generation about the value of protecting wild places.

Someone said, ‘Don’t let your dog in the bed…”. Whoops!
A few snaps from the snuggle pup Oso (now older) to brighten your day.
It’s been over a year - and yes he still shares the bed….or hogs it.

This place - will have a reckoning to remember this year.
America’s second largest reservoir, Lake Powell, is dwindling. Its water levels are dropping below 25%; bracing to break all low water records as the rivers upstream - the ones that supply the main Colorado, and so much more - are trickling.
2026 will be one for western water record books - quietly sending huge ripples to economies nationwide and beyond — but often go unnoticed because of the noise the world drowns out, slow motion water sagas.

A few favorite clicks from the headwaters of my favorite watershed - The Colorado.
I’ve documented these snowy / watery wonders across seasons, much of my life and three decades of drought and a hotter, drier climate. Sadly, this spring is as thirsty as I’ve ever witnessed.
